CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Clara Cable, 92, daughter of the late Russell Holman Juden Jr. and Rhuda Mae Massie, was born April 6, 1929, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee. CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Clara Cable, 92, daughter of the late Russell Holman Juden Jr. and Rhuda Mae Massie, was born April 6, 1929, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was a former teacher and librarian with the Cape Girardeau School District, a member of the Local Engineers Ladies Auxiliary and charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On Dec. 27, 1961, she was united in marriage to Ed Josiah Cable. He preceded her in death Aug. 21, 1974.

Survivors include Debbie (John) Rowlands of Sherman, Texas; Johnny Rowlands of Sherman; Sue Seitz of Cuba, Missouri; and Laura Grieb, Molly Grieb, Ronnie Grieb, Eric Sullivan, Stacy (Tony) Hutson, T.J. Huston, Samantha Hutson, Jodi (Jerry) Cartier and Tiffany Cartier.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.

Funeral service will then be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
