Clara Sailer

Clara Mae Sailer, 83, of Scott City died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 8, 1920, at Fornfelt, daughter of John and Leona Wahl Wilhelm. She and Albert William "Bill" Sailer were married July 24, 1943, at Scott City. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1988.

Clara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include a daughter and her fiance, Kimberlee Dodson and Chris Stiles of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Ryan Dodson of Lisle, Ill., Dr. Robert Dodson and wife Dr. Heather Dodson of Cape Girardeau; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Dodson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Peggy Butler of Cape Girardeau and Mary Stewart of Benton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
