ORAN -- Clemence Peter "Clem" Sobba, 82, of Oran, died Friday, July 23, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 23, 1910, at Willowdale, Kan., son of Frank and Christena Olendorff Sobba. He and Syvilla Rosina Seyer were married Jan. 23, 1934, in Advance. She died Oct. 26, 1973.
Sobba was a self-employed farmer. He was a member and usher at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, and member of its St. Joseph Men's Sodality.,
Survivors include four daughters, Louise Jansen and Alice Uhrhan of Chaffee, Marie Seiler of Leopold, Phyllis Trankler of Oran; two brothers, Bill Sobba of Auxvasse, Joe Sobba of Fulton; two sisters, Lena Dockery and Della Anderson of Auxvasse; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Church. The Rev. Normand Varone will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran after 3 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
