CLETA G. PATTENGILL

BENTON -- Funeral service for Cleta G. Pattengill, 76, of Benton, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Funeral Chapel in Benton with the Rev. David Richbourg officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today.

Pattengill, 76, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 11, 1915, at Morley, daughter of Jess F. and Ethel B. Williams Kirby. She married Paul C. Pattengill Dec. 31, 1936, at Sikeston.

Pattengill had lived here since 1936, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Pattengill of Laguna Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Beverly Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Judith Scherer of Scott City, Melissa Schiwitz of Caneyville, Ky.; two brothers, Claude Pattengill of St. Louis, Cliff Pattengill of state of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Dixie Urhahn of Benton, Bernice Blattel of Oran; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
