FAIRDEALING -- Funeral service for Cletus M. "Pete" Barlow of Fairdealing was held Wednesday at West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan. Burial was in Doniphan Cemetery.

Edwards Funeral Home at Doniphan was in charge of arrangements.

Barlow, 69, died Saturday, April 19, 1997, in Ripley County Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1928, in Bell City, son of James and Betty Matheny Barlow. He and Mildred Long were married July 22, 1948, at Oran.

Barlow had lived in Ripley County a year, and attended West Point Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Paula and Rene Barlow of Florissant, Debbie Swenink of Dupo, Ill.; four sons, Ken Barlow of Apple Valley, Calif., Bill, Ron and Harvey Barlow of Dupo; three sisters, Maureen Sadler, Margaret Kinder and Euna Schoelhammer, all of Chaffee; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a half sister.
