JONESBORO, Ill. -- Clifford "Speck" Johnson, 69, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 1, 1929, at McClure, son of Henry V. Johnson and May Hawkins Johnson. He and Margaret Dillon were married Aug. 30, 1957, at Melrose Park. Johnson attended the Valley Mission Pentecostal Church.

Johnson is survived by his wife; two sons, William Johnson and Leon Johnson, both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Velma Haney of Anna, Doris Johnson of Jonesboro; two brothers, Henry Johnson of Sturvant, Wis., Billy Taylor of Eddyville, Ky.; a sister, Velma Sharp of Peoria; and two step-grandsons.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Valley Mission Pentecostal Church, with the Revs. Herbert Wilson and Jim McLane officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Mission Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services and from noon until the funeral on Wednesday at the church.
