OLMSTED, Ill. -- Clyde J. Burd, 85 of Olmsted died Friday, May 14, 1999, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 13, 1913, in Olmsted, he was the son of Edward and Josie Knupp Burd.
A Methodist by faith, Burd was a truck driver for Bishop Burd Construction Co., Martin Oil Co. and Absorbent Clay Products.
He is survived by two sons, James Burd of Olmsted, C. Dennis Burd of Carbondale; a daughter, Jo Tally of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burd was preceded in death by his wife, Violet, a grandson, five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds.
Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
