Clyde Frank Wallis, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son Chester Herbert and Clara Dee Brunke Wallis. He married Juanita Ruth O'Daniell on Aug. 25, 1948, at Cape Girardeau. She died Nov. 29, 1990...

Clyde Frank Wallis, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son Chester Herbert and Clara Dee Brunke Wallis.

He married Juanita Ruth O'Daniell on Aug. 25, 1948, at Cape Girardeau. She died Nov. 29, 1990.

He was the owner and operator of the Cape Auto Radiator Service since the late 1950s.

He served as the secretary of the Travelers Protective Association Local Post M for many years.

He was a charter member of the Honkers Boat Club, the VFW, Elks, a past member of the Optimist Men's Club and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the church's men's club.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.

He is survived by two sons, Dale Wallis of Jackson and David Wallis of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lynda Hansen of Scott City; two brothers, Chester Wallis of Cape Girardeau and Darrell Wallis of St. Louis; and five grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at funeral chapel, with the Rev. David V. Dissen officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park. VFW Post 3838 will have military rites at the cemetery.
