Coletta Louise Garland, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, due to Covid-19. She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Sedgewickville, Missouri, to Dale and Grace Seabaugh Seabaugh. She and Don Garland were married July 5, 1946, in Sedgewickville. In 2016, more than 100 friends and family members helped celebrate Coletta and Don's 70th wedding anniversary with a party at the Lutheran Home. Don passed away Dec. 1, 2016...

Coletta Louise Garland, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, due to Covid-19.

She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Sedgewickville, Missouri, to Dale and Grace Seabaugh Seabaugh. She and Don Garland were married July 5, 1946, in Sedgewickville. In 2016, more than 100 friends and family members helped celebrate Coletta and Don's 70th wedding anniversary with a party at the Lutheran Home. Don passed away Dec. 1, 2016.

Coletta was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Sedgewickville.

She is survived by a son, Ron Garland, daughter-in-law Judy Pantusi Garland, and granddaughter, Rosa Dale Garland, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; five nieces and nephews, Pam Pinkerton, Craig Grantham, Rick Grantham, Gary Downing, Terry Downing; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Garland; and two sisters, Geneva Downing and Virginia Grantham.

Visitation is from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral is at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions to Sedgewickville United Methodist Church are appreciated.
