JACKSON -- Corrine Clippard, 88, of Jackson died Thursday, March 6, 1997, at Heritage Gardens.

She was born Jan. 31, 1909, in Jackson, daughter of Otto Henry "Franz" and Minnie Maude Thompson Kaufmann. She and Curtis C. Clippard were married Dec. 24, 1928. He died June 12, 1985.

Clippard was a graduate of Fruitland High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She had been a teacher at Goshen School near Oak Ridge.

Survivors include a son, Percy Clippard of Dexter; two daughters, Pansy Howell of Gravois Mills, Patricia Schreiner of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. Don Covington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. to service time.
