Dava M. Bowman, 29, of St. Louis, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur.

She was born Feb. 10, 1969, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of David P. Donze and Penny K. Thompson Bauman.

She married Gregory P. Bowman on June 10, 1995, at Apple Creek.

She was a science teacher at Ste. Genevieve High School and a member of the National Education Association. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University.

She is survived by her husband; her mother; a son, Samuel J. Bowman of St. Louis; and two brothers, Mathew Bauman and Patrick Bauman, both of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her father and the stepfather who raised her, Michael E. Bauman.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of Ste. Genevieve, with the Rev. John Deken officiating. Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
