JONESBORO, Ill. -- Dave Courtright, 77, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 6, 1922, in Union County, son of Horace Edward and Minnie Judith Bullard Courtright. He and Betty Michaels were married April 11, 1942, in Jackson.
Courtright was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Jonesboro Methodist Church, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Darlene Johnson of Pulaski, Gail Carr of Palmyra, Ind., Brenda Newton of Anna; two brothers, Jim Courtright of Jonesboro, Ed Courtright of Connecticut; a sister, Grace Nix of Millcreek; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Marion Mosley and John Prather officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
