David F. Waychus, 59, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Iowa Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.
Graveside service was held Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Kenneth B. Gehling officiating. Full military honors were conducted by members of Mason City Veterans Memorial Association.
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel in Mason City was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the David F. Waychus Memorial Fund or to the Nora Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance in his honor.
Those grateful in sharing in Dave's life are his daughter, Lindsay Hanson and husband Ross of Waterloo, Iowa; a sister, Ruth Powers of Jackson; a brother, Doug Waychus and wife Rosetta of Rockford, Iowa; two nieces, Meghan (Thad) Landers of Shell Rock, Iowa, Danielle (Chris) Patterson of Frost, Texas; a nephew, Markus (Mayra) Hamlett of Germany; and two great-nephews, Michael Hamlett and Kayden Landers.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
