Deanna Meehan, 82, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at her home in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Burfordville to Clyde H. and Winifred Golden Sides. She and Richard Lee "Dick" Meehan were married June 9, 1990. They had been married nearly 16 years when Dick passed away April 10, 2006.

Deanna was a graduate of Jackson High School. She worked at the hosiery mill in Jackson and retired from Lenco after 38 years of employment.

Deanna enjoyed bowling, dancing, camping and traveling.

To cherish her memory, Deanna leaves two children, Bruce (Georgette Leimer) Nanney and Brenda (Joe Weston) Parker of Jackson; three grandchildren, Beverly (Damian) Rigdon, Ricky (Kady Tucker) Nanney and Deanna Nanney; five great-grandchildren; and four siblings and their spouses, Mike Sides of Jackson, Kenny and Dorothy Sides of Oak Ridge, the Rev. Janet Hopkins and Leo Adams of Advance, Missouri, and Lesa and Wayne Brotherton of Millersville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Sheila Hecht.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Deanna's sister, the Rev. Janet Hopkins, will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Jude Children's Hospital.
