Deanna Marie Peterman, 78, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Feb 18, 1941, in Chaffee, Missouri, the daughter of Marvin and Lois Amos Eichhorn. She and Russell "Sam" Peterman were married Sept. 12, 1959, in Chaffee. Sam passed away Oct. 3, 2009...

Deanna Marie Peterman, 78, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Feb 18, 1941, in Chaffee, Missouri, the daughter of Marvin and Lois Amos Eichhorn. She and Russell "Sam" Peterman were married Sept. 12, 1959, in Chaffee. Sam passed away Oct. 3, 2009.

Deanna worked for Sears and Roebuck for 30 years, retiring as a store manager. She was an avid golfer and served as the treasurer for the Cape-Chip-Away's Women's Golf Club. Deanna was very involved with the Jaycees; she enjoyed many years as a cast member performing with the Jaycees Follies. After retirement, Deanna did volunteer work at the Saint Francis Medical Center gift shop. She and Sam loved to dance, and she was quite the "jitterbugger." Deanna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Loving survivors include her children: daughter, Saundra (Mark) Elliott of O'Fallon, Missouri, son, Jeff Peterman (Kelly Nelson) of St. Louis, and daughter, Robyn Turner of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Carol Kelly and Janet Kay Eichhorn, both of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
