DELPHIA FORD

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Delphia Ford, 79, of Mounds died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

She was born Aug. 27, 1921, at Pilot Knob, Mo., daughter of Marshall and Bertha Hall Raines. She and Albert Ford were married in 1970. He died July 1, 1980.

Ford was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mounds. She was formerly of Charleston, Mo.

Survivors include three sons, Glenn and Jacob Estes of Sikeston, Jerry Estes of Mounds; four daughters, Mabel Gardner of Cunningham, Tenn., Faye Villars of Royal, Ark., Karen Skinner of Boaz, Ky., Debbie Estes of Vienna, Ill.; two sisters, Elsie Hastings of Tallapoosa, Mo., Lillian Hickman of Murfreesboro, Tenn., nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
