DENZIL HUDDLESTON

BERNIE, Mo. -- Denzil S. Huddleston, 71, of Roby, Mo., died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

He was born Nov. 4, 1929, at Bernie, son of William Thomas and Oma Lee Jordan Huddleston. He and Martha Evelyn Teel were married March 12, 1988, at Dexter, Mo.

Huddleston grew up in the Essex and Gray Ridge, Mo., communities. He attended Roby Assembly of God Church, and was a former member of Gray Ridge Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Huddleston of Shawnee, Kan.; a daughter, Deborah Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three stepsons, Jim, Joe and Glen Weathers of Broseley, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Sue Mosbey of Advance, Mo., Kay Shelton and Lavonda Kinnaird of Licking, Mo.; two sisters, Dorsey McGuirt of Warm Springs, Ark., Willeadean Haynes of Essex; a brother, Glen Huddleston of Greenville, Mo.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Garner officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
