Donald Ruehling

FROHNA, Mo. -- Donald Ruehling, 76, of Frohna died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 19, 1937, in New Wells, son of Eldor and Mildred Hesse Ruehling.

He and Elaine P. Mueller were married Nov. 28, 1959. She survives in Frohna.

Donald was a former part owner and yard foreman of East Perry Lumber Co. He was former city marshal of Frohna. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, the National Guard, a life member of North American Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include one son, Stuart (Becky) Ruehling of Frohna; one brother, Erlis (Carol) Ruehling of Frohna; two grandchildren, Zachary and Abby Ruehling; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Hecht.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna and from 6:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to United in Christ Lutheran School or Saxony Lutheran High School.
