CHARLESTON -- Doris Jean Howard, 48, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Charleston, died Monday, Aug. 26, 1996, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, from an apparent heart attack.
She was born Aug. 12, 1948, in Union City, Tenn., daughter of Samuel L. and Margret M. Robinson.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Howard of Rockford; a son, Robert Howard of Rockford; five sisters, Margaret Jackson of Rockford, Gracie Rogers of Las Vegas, Nev., Barbara Walker of Tallahassee, Fla., Susie Brown of Michigan City, Ind., and Yvonne Robinson of Tacoma, Wash.
She is also survived by 10 brothers, Edward, Robert and Dallas Robinson, all of Union City, Billy Robinson of Kalamazoo, Mich., Douglas Robinson of St. Louis, Roger, Dwight, Wille, Michael and Anthony Robinson, all of Charleston; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sparks Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. to service time.
