JACKSON -- Dorothy D. Illers, 91, of Jackson, died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, at the Ratliffe Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 7, 1905, at Columbia, daughter of Roy and Effie Woodson Creed. She and Herbert Illers were married Feb. 9, 1929. He died Nov. 11, 1975.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Herbert Gene Illers of Cape Girardeau; a daughter Lou Taylor of Kanorado, Kan.; a sister, Helen Rose Gray of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
