EAST PRAIRIE -- Dorothy D. Wasson, 82, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Arkansas, daughter of Branson J. and Hally Brag Lloyd. She and Boyd Wasson were married Aug. 18, 1928, in Lake City, Ark. He died Sept. 7, 1990...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Dorothy D. Wasson, 82, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Arkansas, daughter of Branson J. and Hally Brag Lloyd. She and Boyd Wasson were married Aug. 18, 1928, in Lake City, Ark. He died Sept. 7, 1990.

Wasson moved to Mississippi County in 1930 from Lake City. She attended Mounds Church of God near here.

Survivors include three sons, James Wasson of Sullivan, Clarence Wasson of Sanger, Texas, Johnnie Wasson of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Ruth Merrick of East Prairie, Rachel Paul of Schererville, Ind., Shirley Gunter of Benton; a sister, Anolla Ashcraft of Canyon City, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home here after 3 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roy Blumenberg officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
