MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Drexell K. Greer of Mounds will be held at 10 a.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home here. The Rev. Bill McGhee will officiate, with burial in National Cemetery at Mound City.

Greer, 64, died Wednesday, June 29, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 26, 1929, in Grand Chain, son of Roscoe and Hattie Chism Greer.

Greer was a retired reservations manager with Ozark Airlines, and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and received the Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Debra Greer of Orion, Kendolyn Erdman of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two sons, Steven Greer of Orion, Kyle Greer of Sacramento, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Christina Prim of Olmsted, Cheryl Simpson of Mounds; a brother, Bill Greer of Cairo, and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
