SIKESTON -- Evert Francis "Duke" Weidemann, 88, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Feb. 14, 1905, at Sikeston, son of William Otis and Myrtle Strange Weidemann. He first married Virginia Martin, who died July 17, 1980. He and Pauline L. SIKESTON -- Evert Francis "Duke" Weidemann, 88, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 14, 1905, at Sikeston, son of William Otis and Myrtle Strange Weidemann. He first married Virginia Martin, who died July 17, 1980. He and Pauline L. Harris Smith were married July 2, 1984, at Sikeston.

Weidemann was a retired insurance adjuster. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Reynolds will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
