PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- E.A. "Buck" Buchanan, 78, of Perryville died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1923, at Leeper, Mo., son of Andrew Jackson and Arizona Sanders Buchanan. He and Glendelea Clyburn were married Nov. 1, 1947.

Buchanan was an agent with Missouri Department of Conservation from 1949 to 1987. He was a past member of the VFW in Kennett, Mo., past Boy Scoutmaster, Perryville Optimist and Perry County Wildlife Chapter.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Duane Buchanan of Potosi, Mo., Mike Buchanan of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
