Edith Florence Langston, 83, 719 W. Highland, died Monday, Aug. 12, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1913, at Gordonville, daughter of George F. and Minnie P. Fischer Hinck. She and A. Ray Langston were married Dec. 24, 1939, at LaForge.
Langston received degrees in business and history at Southeast Missouri State University. She taught high school at Kewanee, Kelly, Lutesville, Morley and Oran. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Delores Dietrich of Ballwin; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Donnie Ford and S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery at Gordonville.
