DEXTER, Mo. -- Funeral for Edith F. Heitman of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter. The Revs. Gary Petty, Ronald Heitman and Andrew Lovins will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Heitman, 94, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 26, 1906, at Hannibal, Mo., daughter of Robert William and Lillie Mae Williams Gardner. She and Benjamin Franklin Heitman were married June 26, 1928, at Hannibal. He died Dec. 17, 1957.

Formerly of St. Louis, she retired in 1973 as a dietary supervisor at DePaul Hospital. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church at Dexter.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Frank Heitman of Houston, Texas; a sister, Louise Gardner of Dexter; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
