EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Elay Agnes Redd of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Pastor Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.

Friends may call all day today at the funeral home.

Redd, 90, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born April 25, 1907, in Strawberry, Ark., daughter of John and Virginia "Jennie" Wadley Wasson. She married Elmer Anly Redd July 26, 1926. He died Jan. 12, 1977.

Redd lived in East Prairie most of her life, and attended Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include two sons, Hubert Redd of Hesperia, Calif., Sammy Redd of East Prairie; nine daughters, Lavern Johnson and Wilma Fritz of East Prairie, Imogene Dolojsi of St. Louis, Rosilene Gore of Jamestown, Miss., Pearl Rice of Altus, Ark., Dora Dooley of Memphis, Tenn., Nora Watson of Twist, Ark., Vernell Smith and Delores James of Fairmont, Ind.; two brothers, Luther Wasson of East Prairie, Dale Wasson of Cucamonga, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, and a brother.
