Elmer Richard Huber, 92, of Williston, Vt., died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vt.

He was born Feb. 1, 1910, in St. Louis, son of Edward Robert and Mary M. Panhorst Huber. He married Bobbie Blodwen, who died in October 2000.

Huber attended Washington University in St. Louis. A registered professional engineer, he retired as district engineer with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 49 years of service in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau.

While in Cape Girardeau he was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Knights Templar, Royal Arch Masons, and Cryptic Masons in the Commandry, Chapter and Council of Cape Girardeau, Grand Lodge AF&AM, and Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Turner of New York, N.Y., and Sally Huber of Williston.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ready Funeral Home in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
