CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Eloise E. Lawson Moore, 102, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1909, in Vanduser, Mo., to Fred James and Bertha Elizabeth Campbell Williams. She and Elbert Lawson were married May 28, 1930, in Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her Dec. 3, 1972. She later married Lawrence Moore May 16, 1978. He preceded in 1987...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Eloise E. Lawson Moore, 102, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1909, in Vanduser, Mo., to Fred James and Bertha Elizabeth Campbell Williams. She and Elbert Lawson were married May 28, 1930, in Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her Dec. 3, 1972. She later married Lawrence Moore May 16, 1978. He preceded in 1987.

Eloise was a floor supervisor at Sports Specialty Shoe Manufacturing. She was a graduate of Chaffee High School. She served on the RSVP Advisory Board and volunteered at Chaffee Elementary School through RSVP. She enjoyed embroidery and word puzzles. She was a member of First Christian Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Whitaker (Fred) Lindy of Chaffee; five stepdaughters; six grandchildren, James (Dianne) Russell and John (Vickie) Russell of Columbia, Mo., Shelia (Dennis) Ottman of Park Hills, Mo., Tony Whitaker of Chaffee, Kirk Whitaker of Florissant, Mo., and Christopher (Tracy) Whitaker of Chaffee; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a daughter, Nadine Russell; two brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to service time Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Christian Church in Chaffee.
