JACKSON, Mo. -- Emma L. McClearn, 69, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Monticello House.

She was born Oct. 13, 1931, at Malden, Mo., daughter of Luther and Nora Humphrey Paul. She and Don McClearn were married Oct. 27, 1956.

McClearn worked 10 years in the office at Famous-Barr Warehouse in St. Louis, and later worked at Holiday Inn in St. Louis. She moved to Jackson in 1996.

Survivors include her husband; a son, William Foster of Advance, Mo.; three daughters, Sharon Burrow of Gosnell, Ark., Kathy Jones of Portageville, Mo., Gayle Knapp of Risco, Mo.; three brothers, Jewel Paul of Bainbridge, Ind., Virgil Paul of Martinsville, Ind., Raymond Paul of Kennett, Mo.; four sisters, Bert Jones of Malden, Mary Charles of Fort Myers, Fla., Ora Benn of Mesa, Ariz., Nancy Owens of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Raymond McAfee will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery
