SIKESTON -- Ernest Kellett, 92, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1904, in Eastland, Texas, son of Jerome and Alice Risner Kellett. He was an automobile dealer and former owner of Kellett Oil Co. in Sikeston. He was a member of the Rotary Club and Shady Acres Church of Christ.
He married Thelma Westerman on Dec. 14, 1960, in Paducah, Ky. She survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Don, Larry and Jerry Kellett, all of Sikeston; a daughter, Janice Whitehead of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Noel Kellett of Carrizozo, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and sister.
He will be taken to Shady Acres Church of Christ at noon today where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, with Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
