Estelle C. Blasiney, 87, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 25, 1924, at River aux Vases, Mo., to Phillip James and Carrie A. Jogerst Baumann. She married Gilbert Blasiney on Oct. 16, 1954, at River aux Vases. He preceded her in death.

Estelle brought laughter to many. She loved to wear a smile and joke with those around her. She always showed her appreciation by saying thank you. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and charter member of Amvets Auxiliary. She was an avid Bingo player.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda (Glen) Bailey of Benton, Mo.; a son, Robert J. (Debbie) Blasiney of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Phillip (Chelsea) Wichern of Jackson, Amy Wichern, Frank Blasiney and Katherine Blasiney, all of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandchild, Ella Wichern of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 7 p.m. today, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
