ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Esther Pitts of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Pitts, 81, died Monday, July 25, 1994, at Union County Nursing Home.

She was born March 15, 1913, in Anna, daughter of John Harm and Cora Belle Burton Oliver. She and Lynn Pitts were married April 6, 1932. He died Sept. 17, 1973.

Pitts retired as a cook at the Whitehouse Restaurant and Coffee Shop in Anna.

Survivors include three sons, Jack and Dick Pitts of Anna, Bill Pitts of Martinez, Ga.; two daughters, Donna Helstowski of Escondido, Calif., Linda Coffee of Mississippi; 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, three brothers and nine sisters.
