PATTON, Mo. — Eston James Mayfield, 75, of Patton passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1948, in Paget Parish, Bermuda, to Eston and Elsie Woodmoore-Mayfield. Eston and Valerie McCarty married Aug. 15, 1971, at First Baptist Church in Devonshire, Bermuda. She survives him in Patton.
He graduated from Whitney Institute in 1966.
He worked at the Jackson Walmart for 30 years, retiring in 2011
Eston volunteered as director of Little Whitewater Food Pantry for nine years. He was an avid Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed cooking. Above all, Eston enjoyed doing anything with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie; daughter and son-in-law, Paget and Jeff Cook; granddaughter, Madeline Cook; grandson, Cooper Cook, all of Patton.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday Dec. 1, at Little Whitewater Baptist Church in Patton, followed by memorial service at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to Little Whitewater Food Pantry.
