ETHEL F. THIESSEN

SIKESTON -- Ethel F. Thiessen, 86, of Sikeston, died Saturday, May 25, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1904, in Bells, Tenn., daughter of Hardy and Callie Acuff Bridger. She first married Paul Jones March 28, 1919, in Brownsville, Tenn. He preceded her in death. She later married Perry Thiessen June 4, 1981, at Jackson. He died March 18, 1991.

Thiessen moved to Sikeston in 1979, and was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ. She had been a nurse aide at nursing homes in South Dakota.

Survivors include three sons, Fred and Harlen Jones of Dyersburg, Tenn., Paul Jones of Riverside, Calif.; three brothers, Tom and Charley Bridger of Sikeston, Ack Bridger of Pontiac, Mich.; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, sister, grandson and great-grandson.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Monday.
