ADVANCE -- Ethel Reed, 92, of Advance died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996 at the Advance Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Dexter, daughter of William and Eula Beavers Clary. She married Floyd Reed, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Reed was a former resident of Dexter and had lived in Advance for the past eight years. She was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include one grandson, Ronald Thompson of Springfield, Mo.; five granddaughters, Patricia Engel of San Diego, Calif., Shirley Sinner of Norfolk, Va., Betty Jo Thompson and Jackie Thompson, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Susan Stark of Springfield, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Ronnie Parker will officiate with burial to follow at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
