Eugene Herbert Chicon, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, at the Lutheran Home. He was born Feb. 22, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, son of William and Fannie Burpo Chicon. He and Mable Irene Rose were married Oct. 16, 1934, in Cape Girardeau. She died Aug. 4, 1983...

Eugene Herbert Chicon, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, son of William and Fannie Burpo Chicon. He and Mable Irene Rose were married Oct. 16, 1934, in Cape Girardeau. She died Aug. 4, 1983.

Chicon formerly owned and operated Cape Towel and Linen Supply. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, John Chicon of state of California, and a sister, Edith Butler of O'Fallon, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard McClure officiating.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
