BERTRAND -- Eunice D. Jenkins, 84, of Bertrand, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 13, 1910, in Lexington, Texas, daughter of Frank and Donie Anderson Evans. She and William L. Jenkins were married Sept. 26, 1927. He died Feb. 10, 1980.

Jenkins retired as a nurse aide from Bertrand Retirement Facility in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Jenkins of Signal Hill, Calif., David Jenkins of Springfield; nine daughters, Josephine Reynolds of Wappapello, Peggy Colgan of Smithton, Ill., Nelda Schmittling, Ruth Uhls and Janet Riley of Belleville, Ill., Maxine Jernigan of Emmet, Ark., Judy Collier of Huntsville, Ala., Marie Bishop of Arnold; two sisters, Ramell Lawler and Tommie Evans of Steele; 31 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Gleaves officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
