Evelyn G. Wiseman, 94, of Advance, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 30, 1917, near Sturdivant, Mo, the daughter of Earl and Viola Bradshaw Cooper.

Evelyn and Odis Wiseman were united in marriage on Jan. 26, 1936, and he preceded her in death April 4, 1970.

Evelyn had operated Wiseman's Grocery Store in Sturdivant. She was a member of the Sturdivant General Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, Dale Wiseman of Advance, Vanice Wiseman of Pickett, Ark., and David Wiseman of Advance; three daughters, Jean Cato of Bloomfield, Mo., June Milburn of Sullivan, Ill., and Joan Wilson of Dexter, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Carolyn Staggs; and a grandson, Todd Wiseman.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with Brother Dale Wiseman and Brother Keith Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
