Everette "Red" Estes, 90, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Ransom and Lula (Roe) Estes.
Red was in the Army during the Korean War and upon returning, he worked at Harris Motor Car Co. before joining the crew at Procter & Gamble, where he retired after 18 years of service.
He was the past Worshipful Master for the St. Mark's Masonic Lodge No. 93 of Cape Girardeau and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan as well as a dedicated fisherman.
Loving survivors include his two sons, Stephen (Patricia) Estes of Jackson and Samuel (Brenda) Estes of Cape Girardeau. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Missouri Veterans Home.
