Faye Strouts

Faye Agnes Strouts, 83, of Union County, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at her daughter's home in Union County.

She was born Dec. 12, 1919, at Tonica, Ill., daughter of Emil and Mary Alleman Neilsen. She and Jack W. Strouts were married in 1941.

Strouts worked as a schoolteacher. She was a member of the National Educational Association and the Illinois Educational Association.

Survivors include her daughter; Les Grubbe of Jonesboro, Ill.; a son, Warren Strouts of Nachodoches, Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and parents.

At her request, Strouts was cremated with no services.
