CARMI, Ill. -- Flora Frances Doneghue, 83, of Chaffee, Mo., formerly of Carmi, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Dogtown, Ill., to John Walter and Ettia Mae Kelly Crocker Allison. She and Carl "Curly" Doneghue were married May 13, 1950. He preceded her in death Aug. 9, 1979.
Fran was a material spreader at Ainsbrook clothing factory, a manager at Gas-A-Mat in Chaffee, and was a waitress at Gottzz' Family Diner in Carmi.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Cheryl) Doneghue of Carthage, Texas, and Rick (Marie) Doneghue of Spring, Texas; three daughters, Carla (Tony) Gott of Carmi, Kathy (Larry) Kirn of Chaffee and Bonnie (Jim) Stevens of Cape Girardeau; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Bob (Phyllis) Allison of Murphysboro, Ill.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Leland Crocker, Edward Crocker, Walter Allison, Mack Allison and Julius Allison; and two sisters, Pearl Crocker and Helen Crocker Whitsitt.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. May 11 at Big Prairie Cemetery in Carmi, with the Rev. Bob Pollard officiating.
