Funeral service for Flora J. Davis will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Davis, 87, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born April 4, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Edward and Celeste Ervin Whittaker. She and Burette O. Davis were married May 23, 1925, in Jackson. He died in 1967.

Davis worked 24 years at International Shoe Co., then worked at Jones Printing Co., and was a cashier at Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of Maple United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Harold Davis of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Betty Jackson of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
