BLODGETT -- Graveside service for Gary Dean Greene, Blodgett Route 2, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Blodgett Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate. Nunnelee Funeral Home at Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Greene, 47, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1992, at his home.

He was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Vanduser, son of Gilbert G. and Vavial Edna Page Greene. He and his wife, R. Jeanette, were married July 26, 1986, in Welsh, La.

Greene was a salesman with Barton Lumber Co. in Sikeston. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Welsh, DAV and AmVets in Sikeston. He served in the U.S. Navy 26 years, including a tour in Vietnam, and received three Purple Hearts.

Survivors include his wife of Welsh; a son, Richard Greene of Sikeston; a stepson, Trey Roe of Welsh; a stepdaughter, Rene St. John of Welsh; six brothers, James and Marion Greene of Sikeston, Glenn Greene of Morehouse, Harold Greene of Waterloo, Ill., Danny Greene of London, Ohio, Allen Greene of Watsonville, Calif.; a sister, Mary Greene of Sikeston, and a granddaughter.
