ADVANCE, Mo. -- Gary Gene Freeman, Sr., 66, of Advance passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 27, 1951, at Sikeston, Missouri, the son of Charley and Zeola Curtis Freeman.
Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Perkins Baptist Church.
He retired from the San Angelo Supportive Living Center as supervisor of the motor pool.
Gary and Arvetta Howard were united in marriage Jan. 5, 2008, at Bell City, Missouri, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Gene Freeman II of Carlsbad, Texas; two daughters, Angela Freeman of San Angelo, Texas, and Cary Jackson of Carlsbad; a stepson, Scott Howard of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Moser of Bonne Terre, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Perkins Baptist Church in Perkins, Missouri. The Rev. Brian Gill will officiate. Burial will follow at Morley (Missouri) Cemetery with full military rites.
