Gary D. Niswonger, 68, of Millersville died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson.

He was born April 14, 1937, in Millersville, son of Ervin D. and Marie Bridges Niswonger.

Niswonger was previously employed by the former Jerry Pickens Co. three years. He then briefly worked for the former Oldsmobile Car Co. in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of First Baptist Church at Millersville, served as an usher, and was active with vacation Bible school programs. He was also a member of Millersville Masonic Lodge, Oak Ridge Order of Eastern Star, Civil Air Patrol, and was a volunteer fireman with Millersville Fire Department.

He is survived by his mother of Millersville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Niswonger Cemetery near Millersville, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
