George H. Heise, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born May 3, 1913, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ernest J.F. and Leona Huey Heise. He and Lillian Marie Maevers were married Dec. 21, 1939, at Egypt Mills, Mo. She died March 14, 2000.

Heise worked at Missouri Utilities 34 years, retiring as a line foreman in 1975. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, David Heise of Cape Girardeau, Wayne Heise of Jackson, Mo.; a daughter, Beverly Powless of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Egypt Mills.
