SCOTT CITY -- George Karl Wilson, 78, of Scott City, died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1917, in St. Louis, son of Justin and Hattie Stewart Wilson. He and Arneita Elizabeth McKee were married Dec. 17, 1954.
Wilson was an executive chef with various oil companies. He had lived here 16 years, and was a member of VFW Post 6407. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Wilson of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a daughter, Stephanie Miller of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Viola Griffiths of Sacramento, Calif., Pauline Sanford of Venice, Fla., and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate.
