FARRENBURG -- George Leroy Stinson, 76, of Farrenburg died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born March 1, 1922, in Indiana, son of Thomas Lee and Mary Atuberry Stinson. He married Audrey Ruth Jackson in 1938. She died April 11, 1975. He married Helen Hall on March 18, 1977. FARRENBURG -- George Leroy Stinson, 76, of Farrenburg died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born March 1, 1922, in Indiana, son of Thomas Lee and Mary Atuberry Stinson.

He married Audrey Ruth Jackson in 1938. She died April 11, 1975. He married Helen Hall on March 18, 1977. She survives in East Prairie.

He had lived most of his life in New Madrid County. He was a retired farmer and attended the First Church of God in East Prairie.

He is survived by two sons, Ale Stinson of Kewanee and Richard Stinson of rural Catron; four daughters, Reta Taylor of Diehlstadt, Violet Woods of Lilbourn, Kay Harris of Wyatt and Carol Bradum of Dixon; two stepsons, Terry Hall of Mulkeytown, Ill., and Johnny Hall of Dallas, Texas; a stepdaughter, Kathy Keeton of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Harace Stinson of Wappapello; 13 granchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marion Gipson of Dexter officiating. Burial will be in Bewrong Cemetery in Advance.
