SIKESTON -- Geral T. Carr Sr., 84, of Sikeston died Friday Sept. 27, 1996, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston.
He was born Jan. 11, 1912, at Eminence, son of Fred and Cordelia Wells Carr. He married Nellie McElreath on May 21, 1947, in St. Louis.
Carr retired in 1974 after working for 32 years for Lever Brothers Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Carr of Eminence, Tom Carr of Madison, Ill., and Roger Carr of Napa, Calif.; two daughters, Darlene Walsh of Eldorado Springs and Nancy Brammer of Winfield; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 tonight at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Harris will officiate, with burial to follow in Garden Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
